Nigel Shafran's 'The Well' book launch and signing in London on Thursday 12th May

'Nigel Shafran’s The Well is a four-hundred page deep dive into the artist’s witty, disarming view of the worlds of fashion and commerce. In this chunky softcover book the layers are peeled away on Shafran’s playful fashion photographs, mixed in with observational images of commerce, shopping, consumption. Throughout the book, conversations by Shafran with seven of his long-time collaborators reveal the stories, ideas and feelings behind his contemplative images, alongside a text by Kathy Acker from her collaboration with Shafran in 1997.'
