Inez and Vinoodh have a seemingly endless capacity to explore new visual territories. In the early 1990s they were among the first practitioners to master the possibilities of digital-imaging technology as a creative and meaningful medium. They developed a signature style of visual seduction paired with provocative narratives, which infused new ideas into photography.
Since the early 1990s, van Lamsweerde and Matadin have published their work in magazines such as Self Service, Vogue, and W Magazine, as well as having created principal campaigns for houses including Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Yohji Yamamoto as well as directed acclaimed music videos for artists such as Bjork, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Paul McCartney.
